Gamer's Notes for 3:40 - 3:59 PM

Historically:

1) The second German BC was "skipped" as portrayed here, then it was Derfflinger, here Nik got lucky. This exact thing also happened at the historical DB (and the baron's since history did not "change" until later). The RN had a moderate die roll % chance to avert it; they failed. Nik got the "unopposed shooter bonus" in the jj. The others kept it for 2 half?salvos due to the range problem of the RN. Derfflinger lost it first.

2) Historically, the RN had the exact range problem as portrayed here. They had a small % to avert it. They failed.

3) Historically, the Germans were straddling within the first few half?salvos. Nik and Mustang and Dirk did a bit better, but not that much.

4) Historically, the Germans scored multiple hits on multiple ships within the first five minutes. Just as here. The die rolls were honest.

5) Regarding #4, the only I to get hit (historically) at this point was the Indy. The Cats were tougher.

So Sturdee appears quite unlikely to get a dukedom, or even become a baronet and Admiral of the Fleet as he did historically.
